Innosuisse Business Concept is an entrepreneurship training program aiming to help ambitious members of Swiss universities (students, researchers and faculty members) to shape their venture ideas into feasible startup projects. The program designed by Fondation EPFL Innovation Park for Western Switzerland lasts 14 weeks and takes place twice a year, in 6 geographic locations for 9 classes, with heavy emphasis on teamwork, market validation and execution. Each year, a total number of around 270 participants are being trained.
In order to encourage the most promising teams to strengthen ties among team members, to further develop their entrepreneurial projects after the training, to learn from startups in other European countries and to get a first international business experience, a study trip to London was organized in February 2018 as a reward to the best project team of each class of the Fall semester of 2017, from Lausanne (2 classes), Yverdon, Fribourg and Valais.
As a proud Mentor of the two Lausanne winning teams (RaaSS and SmartGuide) I thank the sponsors (CVCI, EPFL Innovation Park, Cimark and Innosuisse) for their invitation to join the trip, and the Swiss embassy members for being great organizers and guides.
